Taxi's between Paris train stations

Has anyone used taxi's between the different train stations in Paris? There will be two of us with luggage. What would the approximate cost be? Has anyone encountered any problems with this situation?
Thanks

Lynn,

It's difficult to provide a cost estimate for Taxis, as there are a number of factors to consider - which particular stations you're using and their distance apart, time of day, traffic volume at that time, etc.

Even with luggage, my choice would be to use the Metro (which I have done on occasion).

Cheers!

A year ago I took a taxi at 6 am from rue Cler to Gare du Nord. One person with luggage. It cost around 15 Eu. I would expect 20 Euro to cover most trips between train stations.

There are seven train stations in Paris. Which ones are you referring to?

Lynn sent me a PM when I think she meant to post it here:

The two train stations are Paris Est and Paris St Lazare. There is an hour or so between the connections times for the trains I want to take. The first train gets to Paris Est at 9:04 and leaves from Paris St Lazare at 10:10. The next train arrives in Paris St Lazare at 8:58 and leaves Paris Est at 11:24am. Is it like a 10 or 15 minute taxi ride? Thanks

According to the Journey Planner at www.ratp.fr, the Paris transit site, bus #43 goes directly between those stations in ten minutes. It's a four-minute ride on the RER E from Haussmann-St Lazare to Magenta. Of course, in either case you have to allow time to walk from the SNCF stations to either the bus stop or the RER station.

I was traveling with my 28 year old son who really hurt his back just before our trip. He could walk just fine but couldn't lift anything over 5 pounds so cab rides it was! We stayed on the Left Bank and took a cab to Gare du Nord for under 20Euro. Only problem we encountered was a long wait for a cab when we orginally arrived at Gare du Nord from London. My son and I along with a fair portion of the Eurostar were all in line for a cab after arrival. Go ONLY to official taxi stands and avoid like the plague anyone who walks up to you asking in English if you need a cab.
