My husband and I and our 2 young adult children will be arriving at CDG with 1 carry on bag each plus a small personal item each. Will it be possible to fit into 1 taxi cab to drive into Rue Cler area of Paris? If not, what are our best options? We will have limited time in Paris so time is a factor for us.

There are taxi vans at the airport which can handle a number of people. Taxi-wise, you'll have no problem. I've always used the Metro from the airport to get to Paris and even near rush hour it wasn't a problem for me. It's a good opportunity to get a Paris Visite metro pass at the airport station and you're set for transportation in Paris.
