My wife and I will be visiting Spain for three weeks in late-June/early July, including an overnight stay in Tangier. We have a question regarding the best way to connect between Tarifa-Tangier-Granada (without a car). The book seems to imply that we should: * take the ferry from Tarifa to Tangier * take the return ferry from Tangier to Tarifa (the following day) * take a local bus to Algeciras * catch the train to Grandada While this seems perfectly acceptable, I was wondering if might not be easier to: * take the ferry from Tarifa to Tangier (as above) * take the return ferry from Tangier MED to Algeciras (the following day)
* catch the train to Granada It seems that the latter itinerary has the advantages of 1) reducing costs, since it seems the ferry company will shuttle us from Tangier to Tangier MED, eliminating the need for a bus to Algeciras; and 2) more importantly, eliminating a transportation connection (the bus from Tarifa->Algeciras), which decreases the chances for missed connections, especially given that the best train option for us is 11.45am. Any thoughts? Anything I am not considering? Thanks.
