Greetings! Looking for quiet hotel outside of old city wall in Tarifa for 2 nights for home base to go to Tangier. I read reports that Hostal Alborada's rooms face public area and has niose issues,,,also if room on street side has night noise.. Also read Hotel La Mirada has ugly views outside window (pic posted on trip advisor), reports of not so clean, and small. Which is better? Mature couple desires good sleep, quiet night , good bed. Any other ideas? Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at La Miranda in April 2010. Staff is very helpful and most of the views are of playing fields and the ocean. Room was clean and average sized. Area around hotel looks a little 'rougher' than it really is. We are a couple in our mid-fifties who also enjoy a good quiet sleep on a nice bed at about 10pm. Our party days ended MANY years ago! Don't know what you're looking for at this price? This is a very basic hotel - NOT A RESORT.
