Any ideas about how to do a crawl for someone with an allergy to black pepper?

We are on our way home from 2weeks in Spain, including Madrid. I love black pepper, and missed it on this trip. There is rarely a shaker on the table, and I never tasted it on the food. We ordered mostly fish tapas, sardines, bacalao, etc., and I believe they find black pepper incompatible with fish. You should be fine, but you might inquire to confirm.

I didn't know that fish and pepper did not go together. Sounds like we should be ok. Thanks for the tip.
