Am spending 2 days in Granada, 2 days cycling near Alhambra de Granada and then wish to visit Gibraltor and a day trip to Tangier before travelling to Seville. At this point, we don't plan on renting a car. Any pointers on logistics please?
Are you asking about the logistics in Tangiers? If so,
I have been there, but with a photo group I was leading so we did have a guide meet us. Had I been on my own I could have figured it out, but with only a day I might suggest a guide so you can make the most of your time there. It is a bit overwhelming, but I loved it.
Ruth, we stayed in Tarifa two nights, traveling by fast ferry to Tangier on the full day. We hired Aziz Begdouri (sp?), recommended by RS and also in his video, for an 8-hour tour. He took care of everything for us, and we thought that was definitely the best way to do Tangier in one day.
We were there in May. Aziz is great! You'll get to see things and go places most tour groups only dream of. He took us to the colorful food markets (wish I could add a pic) that NO other tourist were in, a neighborhood oven, even a private home with a roof top view of the city and more. Just let him know what you are interested in. If you are not interested in shopping you'll be wisked through that part not bothered by anyone. If you do the longer tour he will also take you to a local place to eat where everything is so fresh you'll be amazed. (just fyi the meal is extra) He meets you at the ferry and takes care of everything.
Aziz is the easy way to go. Have a great trip!
