Has anyone visited the Taize community in France? If so, what were your impressions of your visit? We (a retired couple) are considering a stop there for a few hours while we are staying in nearby Beaune. Thanks.

We went to Taize in 2006. We went specifically because our pastor had talked about it on several occasions and even used some of their music in our services. It was interesting, lots of 15-22yo's. There was not a service while we were there. We spent approximately 2 hours wondering thru, checking out the remains of the village and the new buildings. If you are in the area, its worth a stop, but I wouldnt go out of your way. If you do go, try to arrive in time to see a service.
