We will be in Switzerland for 8 days in September. We plan to spend 4 days in Bernese Oberland (decided to stay in Murren based on advice here) and trying to decide where to spend the other 4 days. We are thinking 2 days in Como and then back to Zurich for 2 days before flying out. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Instead of Zurich for 2 days I would stay in Luzern which is 50 minutes from the Zurich airport if the traffic through the tunnels is light. Another nice city would be Bern. Instead of Lake Como you should consider Lugano.

definitely Lucerne for 2 days instead of Zurich. Trian from Lucerne to zurich airport (or even Zurich) is efficient and a nice ride. Tons to see in and around Lucerne. If you have a morning flight, many on this Board recommend the train from Lucerne direct to Zurich airport. Compared to Lucerne not that much to see in Zurich
