My wife and I plan on spending a week in Switzerland, starting from Geneva and spending several days in the villages around Interlaken for some skiing before returning to Geneva. We've been to Interlaken and Zurich before and enjoy the winter environments. I need to know if the train system around Christmas is full enough to require reservations, or will it safe to just buy the train pass when we get there? I know the Christmas festivals can be very popular and I don't want to be stuck without the ability to get around.
