Hello, After finishing our Italy trip, we are going to be in Switzerland and were considering visiting Bernese Oberland, traveling with kids (ages 6 & 11). We would like to spend a day in the Alps and then visit one city. Which place should we make our travel base? Any recommendations on which city to visit with kids at this time of the year (Bern/Luzern)? We will be flying out from Basel on the evening of April 10th. Should we consider buying some kind of rail pass or point-to-point OR drive? (Milan to Interlaken, Interlaken to Bern/Luzern, Interlaken to Basel). Before being in Switzerland, we are in Italy for about 10 days - and will be using the train to travel between Rome/Florence/Venice/Milan. Thanks in advance!
