Do you think visiting Switzerland for a weekend is possible? I would be coming from Paris. If I was going to do this, what would your recommend to see in mid February (no skiing)
It is possible, certainly, but probably not worthwhile if you're not going to ski. If you want to see the Alps, you would only have one day. And if it's cloudy that day... oh, well.
Not worth it in February for one day, same reason as stated by Tom.
You didn't say whether you will fly or train. If you train, you will spend most of your weekend looking out the window.
Go ahead and plan on it, realizing that you may not be able to do all that you want to do. Be flexible and visit those places which are available to you.
Depends on which town you go to. Take a cable car up a mountain, but be sure to ask if weather permits visibility before you book it.
I agree with Carl's post. Be flexible.
If your time in Paris is always on the go, you may welcome the train ride. I took one of the scenic routes in Switzerland one February and just being on the train and viewing the scenery was a great break from the rest of my trip.
Don't rule it out!
