Switzerland Dining & Food, Castles

I've got Rick's book and scouted reviews (see below) for dining in the Lauterbrunnen valley & surrounding area. Any highlights to suggest - especially regarding a place for supreme Swiss fondu? Also, anyone visited and enjoyed the castles in the area? - General Dining Recommendations Lauterbrunnen - Hotel Staubbach, Hotel Oberland & Hotel Jungfrau (all with ambiance & terrace) Gimmelwald – lunch and dinner at Pension Gimmelwald, pizza dinner at Mtn Hostel Murren - Stand alone restaurants w/ views: Stagerstubli, Eidelweiss cafeteria, Bar Bistro
Hotels: Alpenruh, Bellevue, Alpina (deck dining), Jungfrau, Blumental Wengen – Hotels Alpenrose (lunch and dinner), dinners at Hotel Berghaus, Hotel Schonegg, Baren Hotel Grindelwald – ??? Interlaken - eat outdoors atop the Metropole Hotel or Restaurant Schuh

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Oberland in Lauterbrunnen in June 2010 and ate all 3 of our dinner meals there. Food was great, although we didn't have the fondue as we had sampled it in Interlaken and wanted something more substantial. Wonderful hotel, wonderful food...would definately recommend eating there! Try the Rosti too!

The fondue and rosti was great at most locations. One of our favorites was Gasthof Hirschen located in a suburb of Interlaken about four blocks from the park. We enjoyed several treats at Schuh!!

we ate twice at the Hotel Oberland. Did not have fondue as we have it often at home. The rosti and raclette are wonderful.
