Swiss pass and swiss family card

We will be visiting Switzerland in July with our two kids aged 12 and 7. We intend on buying the Swiss pass in Switzerland from Zurich airport. Does this include the Swiss family card with it? Or do we have to buy it from my country?

My understanding is that there is a 20 Swiss Franc charge (per child) if you purchase the Swiss Family Card at a train station in Switzerland, but that the Swiss Family Card is free if you request it at the same time that you purchase the Swiss Pass (for adults) in your home country. At least that this the rule here in the USA, but I'm not sure if the same is true in Malta.

I have seen the same information as Penn. It's even in Rick's book. But, I asked this question of the Swiss rail site. Here's their response.

You can buy the Swiss Pass online or you can buy the Swiss Pass at the station in Zurich. The Swiss Family Card fro your child is free.

Best case is that its free in Zurich when you buy your Swiss pass. Worse case is that it may cost 20CHF.
