What is the difference between single and double rooms? If it is just
me and my husband on this trip, what kind of room do we need to ensure
we have 1 double bed?
The photos on the websites for Mürren hotels are slightly misleading. The photos look like there are two beds stuck next to each other?
Please advise. :)
Single = 1 person in 1 bed.
Double = 2 persons in 1 bed.
Twin = 2 persons in 2 beds.
Triple = 3 persons either 3xtwins or (1xdouble + 1xtwin).
Quad = 4 persons...you get the picture.
Also, this is not just "Swiss" terminology.
depending on the availabilty - you may well get two beds stuck together... sometimes one matress - sometimes two. But regardless the double bed will usually show two seperate "down comforters" which may look like two beds stuck together... if that was your concern.
but german is close to english in DBL... "einsel" is single. You can always email too to make sure! they almost all speak/write english well.
