Swiss Half Fare Card/Train tickets

My adult daughter and I will be flying to Zurich in 3 days. She arrives 2 hours before me. Can I purchase our Swiss Half Fare Cards and one way tickets from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen on line and pick them up at the Zurich airport train station?

No to the half-price fare cards, and yes to the train tickets to Lauterbrunnen. You can purchase the tickets at rail.ch and either print them out at home or pick them up at the airport train station.

Thank you, guess we have to purchase at the Zurich train station because we need the Swiss Half Fare Card to get the half fare ticket from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen.

Actually you can purchase half-fare tickets at rail.ch even if you don't have the half-card card in your possession yet. After you purchase the ticket and print it out at home it will also give you a temporary half-price card to print out at home as well.

Michael, Let me see if I understand this: I purchase a full fare one way ticket to Zurich to Lauterbrunnen, print it out at home, then I receive a temporary half price card to print at home also. What good is the half fare card AFTER I have purchased the ticket from Z to L? I need clarification please. When you purchase tickets via rail.ch, the site give you the option of purchasing the full standard fare, or the half-price fare for those who will have the card. When you are on the actual train you will have show the half-card to the attendant to prove you were entitled to the discount fare or be penalized. Head over to rail.ch, enter Zurich Airport/Lauterbrunnen, pick a train departure, select "fare/buy", and go through the booking process and you'll see what I'm referring to. I'm not exactly sure what the temporary card is for, but the site says that it comes with your ticket for some reason?
