Does anyone know if it makes a difference where you purchase a Swiss Card? It seems that if you buy it through the Swiss rail site that you can just write in the start date instead of stamping at the station. All the other places you ca buy them online seem to indicate that you'll have to get them stamped.
If you buy it through the Swiss Travel System website, you enter your start date and it probably comes with that date already entered. They ship it to you for free. But the price for the Swiss Card in Switzerland, including on the website is 186CHF which converts to $220. Plus if your credit card charges a Foreign Transaction Fee you will have to add that, maybe 3% or so. The price on this website is $207. I don't know if it comes with the start date pre-entered, but it is an easy matter to do that at the airport or wherever you are starting your travels in Switzerland.
