Swiss Alps--Hiking to Hut to Hut

Hey guys....I am very interested in hiking the Swiss Alps and saw Ricks video about hiking hut to hut through alps and staying at these simple huts cabins without hiking camping gear......but I can not find any more information on where to start the hike or schedule a room for theses hikes.....any suggestions? I am flying into Zurich and taking a train to Interlaken and like to start in Gimmelwald.....I have about 4-5 days alot to hike....Then going to Italy...
Thanks Shawn

Shawn, here's a LINK to a nice list of hikes in the Berner Oberland. Perhaps Lola will check in here. From here posts, she seems to have done some hiking there.

A good source of basic information and some suggestions is this book: Walking Switzerland: The Swiss Way; From Vacation Apartments, Hotels, Mountain Inns, and Huts

Ok, I am in Alaska right now with limited Internet access so have to make this short. Much of the long-distance hiking in Switzerland is village to village, with some SAc huts in the mix. But many of those are climbers' huts not located on through routes. There are also mountain inns ( Berghotels) which are rustic inns in remote locations. A good guide to the huts is the Cicerone guide " 100 Hut Walks in the Alps" by Kev Reynolds. Another guide I really like is Switzwrland's Mountain Inns by the Liebermans but it may be out of print. If you have a specific region in mind, I might be able to make some suggestions. In the Bernese Oberland, for example, there are some nice multi- day possibilities, if you don't mind crossing a road now and then. One hike I have longed to do is from Schyige Platte ( short train ride from Interlaken) along the Panoramaweg to the Faulhorn inn for the first night (faulhorn.ch) and then over Grosse Scheidegg to Schwartzwaldalp ( mountain inn there) for the second, then down to Meiringen. A longer one would start at Stechelberg, up to the inn near Oberhornsee for the first night, up past Gimmelwald into the Sefinental and RotstockHutte the second night, over the pass to the Kiental and Pension Golderli the third night, or continue on up to Blumlisalp Hütte that night, ending at Oeschinensee and down to the train at Kandersteg. This is. Section of the Alpine Pass Route over the highest passes, so can't be done until late summer.
