Swimming in Spain

Where in southern Spain are you considering swimming (pools/lakes/Mediterranean)? I can't answer your question, but since we will be there the same time (mid-April/mid-May), I would be interested in hearing from others. I expect the weather will dictate conditions.

We were there early May. It was very nice on the beach but not warm enough for many to enjoy swimming.

Going by the water temp in Beatrix's chart, you're right on the edge between the thickest wetsuit and a drysuit for diving, if that makes any difference.

I was wondering about the Mediterranean. I can swim in a pool anywhere!
