Hi - I will be doing an internship for 6-7 weeks in Frankfurt and hotels add up to too much but most apartments require minimum of 3 months. Any tips or sites I can find for shorter term housing? Any Frankfurt tips in general? Thanks
(Though I am a student, I am older than traditional students so a dorm of 22 year olds is not ideal).
I would look on Toytown, a website for English speakers who either live in Germany, or have some sort of connection with Germany. It is a treasure trove of info and they of course list accomodation. http://www.toytowngermany.com/forum/index.php?showforum=293 The other option is to rent a private room, of which there are plenty in Frankfur. Prices will run between 20-30 per day though you might be able to make a deal since you are staying so long. http://www.deutsche-pensionen.de/pension-frankfurt/verzeichnis-lage.html Or you can go check the Mitwohn Zentrale, where people rent out their apts. short term while they go on vacation.
