I'm putting together our itinerary for a 2 week trip in June 2013 and would like suggestions. We really want to visit Mt Blanc/Chamonix, and end our trip in Paris. We would rent a car in Torino, stay in Aosta, drop the car there, then take the gondolas over Mt Blanc into Chamonix. From there a train to Annecy, then train to Avignon, where we would rent a car to explore Provence. From there, take the train into Paris for the remaining days of our trip. i night Torino (after our flight from the west coast) 2 nights Aosta 3 nights Annecy 4 nights Avignon or Arles
4 nights Paris Whadaya think?
Geneva is a wonderful town to explore but not overpay at one of their Hotels. Might be a nice one day travel trip from Annecy. You're going to love Mt. Blanc!
I think it sounds creative and marvelous. I'd shift a day from Annecy, though.
Yes, I think 2 nights in Annecy sounds better, adding onto Provence. Thanks for the advice.
Why not spend an extra night in Torino? It is a fabulous city and fun to explore. I would only do 2 nights in Annecy.
We've been considering staying an extra night in Torino. The city does look great in Google Earth. There is a cafe that was featured on TV during the Torino Winter Olympics that we have always wanted to visit. The hot chocolate they serve looks amazing. For that reason alone...
