My friend and I will be traveling to Paris this June with our two teen daughters. We would like suggestions for a smaller hotel in the Latin Quarter/Luxembourg Garden area for $200-$250 a night for each of our rooms. Is there such a thing or do we need to consider other areas of the city for lodging?
Look for the HOTEL FAMILIA or sister hotel HOTEL MINERVA. They are beautiful and quaint.
there are lots of hotels in the 5th or 6th in that price range, I do advise you to book early though, the rates go up and sometimes you can get a better price by booking months in advance. I consider that a reasonable budget myself,, no four star of course, but very nice clean and decently located 2 or 3 stars. Try looking at these: Hotel Le Regent( on Rue Dauphin, great area) . Hotel Pantheon and Hotel Des Grand Hommes( sister hotels side by side right by Pantheon )
Hotel Eugenie( center of the very touristy part of the 5th) I have stayed at these hotels, all are clean, safe areas, rooms will be smaller then you think ,,, but all have a/c and private facilities. All are in good areas for walking to variouis sites and taking the RER and metro.
