Hello, my hubs and i are taking a short, parents-only getaway to Spain. We land in Barcelona then 6 days later leave for Paris. Looking for any suggestions for itinerary that would be efficient and time maximizing given the travel times to each location. Ideally I would like to spend 2-3days in Barcelona and then 1 or 2 other chill cities, probably not Madrid. Thanks in advance!
WK Probably good to buy RS Spain or Barcelona book for ideas on other locations not too far away. Also, although I am sure Barcelona is a "chill" city, we really need to know what that means to you. Also be good to know what other criteria you have. History, art, culture, dancing, night life, architecture, cute beach towns, incedible scenery, etc. My suggestion is to stay near Barcelona to maximize your time and to be efficient. And to only go to 2 places. Every time you move, it costs time and money. Bobbie
I agree with Bobbie. There's so much to do in Barcelona, it can easily absorb the bulk of your time. How about exploring the rest of Catalunya for 2-3 days? There are the Dali sites: Cadaques (gorgeous) and Pubol. Also, there's Girona, the ruins at Empuries, beautiful villages like Peratallada, and Montserrat.
