Hi fellow travel aficionados! We will be traveling as a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teenagers) by car from Nice, France to Saarbrucken, Germany along the A10 & A2 on a weekend day in August. Drive time straight through is 8+ hours, so we are looking for an attractive overnight stopover place en-route, to break up the trip. Milan, Lugano, Lucerne, Basel, and Colmar are some of the cities along the route. Can you suggest a city and/or hotel you've enjoyed? Thank you!
