We will be driving in southern spain from Ronda to Nerja. I bought Michelin map 578 which will be very helpful. It looks like we can either head south from Ronda to the coast; and drive east along the coast on the main thoroughfares through Marbella and Malaga.
Or we could head north a bit, and then drive the A-384 east to Antequera; then head south to Malaga, and on to Nerja along the coast.
I imagine the coast highways will be more direct and faster; while the latter route will be more scenic, and possibly a bit treacherous along mountain highways???
Any perspectives on the difference between the two routes; or any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
