We just got home from two weeks in france. Success. No pickpockets, no strikes, no scams. We adopted the "france and/or european" attitude and we were never approached. In fact, a spanish couple asked me if I was spanish, french or english, since I was able to use a few spanish and french words and we spoke quietly in public..
Big THANK YOU to all who answered all my questions. Merci Beaucoup!!!!!
Bon retour d'Europe! Sounds like you had a great time!
laura, Glad to hear that you had such a great time! I'm sure you'll have lots of great tips to pass on at the next Sacramento ETBD meeting. On a related note, one of these days I'd like to find a Panera Bread to find out what the attraction is.
@ Ken, Laura hasn't joined us at one of our meetings...yet. I hope she can come and tell us about her trip. The "attraction" of Panera is free wifi and a casual atmosphere. No servers bothering us because we have been there so long. @ Laura, we meet every 3rd Saturday of the month at the Panera Bread in North Natomas, near the Target store. Someone always posts a reminder a week or so before the meeting under the General Europe heading. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
