I'm hoping to study for a year abroad in Spain and am unsure where I should go. So far I've considered Salamanca, Sevilla, Granada, Cadiz and Santander. I want to be in a place with beautiful architecture, friendly people and lots to do. Anyone have suggestions?

Salamanca. Absolutely great school, out of the tourist mess, great people, close enough to the center of the country that everything else is within striking distance. Other students there are mounting expeditions to someplace every weekend.
