I have a student ID from my University in the US, will that work for a reduced ticket price at the Prado? Or do they only accept international student ID cards like the one from ISIC?

It was reported here awhile back that in at least one case the student's US university ID was not accepted because it does not have a validity date on it. In other cases, people have reported not even being asked for an ID if they said they were a student (and appeared to be one, presumably). If the Prado is important to you, in particular, you might want to contact them to ask if they require the ISIC ID for the discount. The Prado does have free admission days, too, if you happen to be there on the right day.
When I lived in Austria as a student I had both my university ID from home and the ISIC card. I was never required to show it anywhere and always got a discount.

thanks. i'll just take a chance at using my current ID. if they dont accept it, then oh well.
