We have 12 days for Europe and particularly want to start in Strasbourg and finish at Lake Como, flying from Milan to London. We would like to do the journey from S by train. What we have come up with is Strasb. to Lucerne and then on to Menaggio via the ferry and train. Can anyone offer any suggestions for alternative routes? We would like to do a mountain trip from somewhere. We enjoy walking whether it be towns or lakeside - can't do hills though:-) Thanks.
