Strasbourg, France -- Must see sights

We are planning a day trip to Strasbourg while in Germany. The travel book that the library had on France didn't even mention it. I've been there at least twice before years ago, but I just walked around and went to the city center. If anyone has spent time there, I'd love a list of the main highlights of the city. And of course, any suggestions on restaurants (NOT fancy restaurants!) would be nice, too. THANKS!
