Wanda, we go to Straßburg a couple time of years as it is one of the nicest cities along the upper Rhine. We usually stay at one of the three downtown Ibis-Hotels. They're all the same. Clean, functional, good location, low price. Perfect for one night - maxiumum of two nights. Here are the three well-located ones: Ibis Strasbourg Centre Halles Cathédrale, Ibis Strasbourg Centre Gare, Ibis Strasbourg Centre Petite France. My personal favorite is the Littel France one (Petite France). Check www.ibishotel.com (yes, no plural for hotel)...

http://www.maison-rouge.com/ try this hotel. You are 5 min from the Church and good eating establishments not to mention Paris Department Store Lafayette a block away.

Hi.
It's been 9 years since we were there, but we stayed in the Hotel Gutenberg http://www.hotel-gutenberg.com/ which was wonderful. It's moderately priced, but luxurious feeling, and right in the center of the city. (A 2 minute walk to the Cathedral). My wife loved the spacious bathroom and large bathtub.
