Is anyone able to tell me if there is any short time storage available at munich terminal 2? We have an 8 hr span between flights and would like to take the train to the Marienplatz without having to drag our carryon baggage with us.

Yes, of course there is. I just found it on www.munich-airport.de... I suppose you can find it there as well. Search for "storage"... by the way if you get back from town early have dinner or at least a beer at Airbräu's (AirBrew's) which is just where you alight from the train to town at T2. Cheap beer (cheaper than downtown, micro brewery and great, great food!)

It is called "left luggage" and it is done at the "Service Centers"
