Does anyone know how long you can store items in the lockers at the Zurich airport? We must check a bag with our hiking poles in it, but don't want to carry the bag with us for three weeks. Nothing else will be in it as we are backpacking. Anyone have any information or ideas that might help?

Thanks for the info, but I just priced storing the bag. That won't work! Anyone have any other ideas?

Most of the larger Swiss Rail stations also have long-term luggage storage facilities. I'm not sure if it's cheaper than the airport service??

You could email the Swiss train system and ask about cost and terms for luggage storage at the main Zürich train station. They are very good about responding to questions. Use the address at "contact" on the website, www.rail.ch or ww.sbb.ch. Lockers are usually limited to 48 hours. but the "left luggage" counter service may be much longer.
