We arrive on a Sat afternoon & board our cruise ship Sunday, Are stores open on Sunday or should be plan on a little shopping Sat? Markets or small shops.

Do you mean this Sunday? Easter Sunday? Or, just Sunday in General? We were there last year during the La Merce festival (fabulous) and I can't remember which day it was but all retail was closed. You could find places to eat but that was it. Everything else was closed. It may have been the holiday that caused this and not just a Sunday situation.

Thank you for the reply. I meant Sunday`s in general. We arrive May 5th and board Sunday May 6th.
I will want to buy a few little things to bring home and wondered if my shopping needed to be done on Sat.

La Boquiera is the best market - though mostly produce- is a sight to behold and worth a visit. It's closed Sunday. I know El Corte Ingles (a larger department store) is also closed Sundays.

Other than bars and restaurants, pretty much everything is closed on Sundays in Spain. But most will be open until 9pm or later on Saturdays.
