Stoping in Rouen on the way to Bayeux

Hi, I will be driving from Paris to the D-Day beaches and to Mont St. Michel. Can anyone tell me please if it is worth stopping in Rouen for 1-2 hours in late afternoon(I will not have more time available).

Yes. There's lots to see there, and the town itself is quite charming. Big cathedral that is in a famous series of Monet's paintings, Joan of Arc stuff, big clock from the middle ages, half-timbered buildings... Well worth a stop.
