Has anyone tried this barge? If so, how is the food/wine? It sounds great but not too sure of booking the dinner. Any other accommodation recommendations for this area?

Steve, you have picked an extraordinarily beautiful town. We really love visiting Beaune. Make sure to visit the hospital with its gorgeous roof, so typical of the area. We don't know anything about the Lady A, but we stay in the Mercure just beyond the city walls, just a few minutes stroll from the centre. If you're driving it has free parking, too. Make sure you take a trip through the vineyards.

The Lady A is not in Beaune, but in Vandenesse-en-Auxois. It's about 25 or 30 miles NW of Beaune.

I know it's not in Beaune (hence the subject title "Staying near Beaune.."), but do you know anything about the barge??
