Murren seems expensive.. Any suggestions on where to stay? (other then Gimmelwald). Maybe just stay in Interlaken and day-trip it up the mountains?

Steve i stayed in Lauterbrunnen, at the valley hostel, we had a double room with a shared bathroom, it was my first time in a hostel. Well i really liked it, it was clean and nice, and Lauterbrunnen was a very good village to stay in. A few restaurants, few shops, grocery store and the train station is close by.

Chalet Fontana in Muerren is about 40 CHF per person per night including breakfast.

Thanks for the suggestions _ I appreciate them. I am sure Gimmelwald is very nice, but I think for us the smarter way to go would be Murren or Lauterbrunnen. Regards, Steve
