I'm looking at the RS 2012 Germany Guide and am interested in either the Zum Hirschen or the Gasthaus Krone. Sometimes in the middle of town it's hard to sleep because of street noise so I'm wondering, for those of you who have stayed at either place, do you recommend one over the other. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

If I'm not misremembering, the center of Staufen is pedestrianized, so no worry about car noise. Also, it's a quiet little place, charming, but not such as to attract late night party animals. Die Krone is lovely, run by gracious hosts, and reasonably priced. Good breakfast, too. Highly recommend.
