Staying in Paris for a month

In September/October. We are having the hardest time finding a reasonable apartment rental, because it seems that agencies charge nine hundred euros to find a one month rental. Can anyone help by giving sites or suggestions of places to stay, that are reasonably priced? I'm on a post college budget, by the way. :)

You don't need an agency to book you an apartment. You need to go to one of the sites below. Basically, owners use these sites to list what they have to rent, and you deal directly with the owner. No middle agency.

www.vrbo.com
www.homeaway.com
www.vactioninparis.com

There are more but these will get you started.

Try Thierry at parisbestlodge.com. He is the owner, not an agent. I'm renting one of his apartments for two weeks in September, and I've read lots of good things about him.

Thanks guys, for replying so quickly. I did take a look at a few of these websites, and unfortunately they're a bit out of my price range. Since we're staying for a month, $100/night is going to amount to a lot of money, and we've still got a two month Europe trip we need at least a minimal amount of money for. I guess I should clarify that we're looking to spend less than $1500 for the month, if possible. When I have more time I'll keep looking on vrbo.com, however.

Anyone else?

Your budget is almost unreasonable for a vacation rental,, .In Paris 1000 euros a month is probaly close to a cheap rental apartment( in a decent area), completely unfurnished , where you hook up the utilities under your own name.. etc.

I think you may have to rethink or rework budget. Staying outside of Paris is an idea. Its like trying to rent a vacation condo on Waikiki Beach for 1000 dollars a month,, not likely right?
