We are thinking of staying in Haarlem and visiting Amsterdam from there...how far is it?
As the crow flies, about 20 kilometers, center to center. There are commuter trains every few minutes between Haarlem and Amsterdam Centraal station....the trip takes about 15 minutes, and same-day return trip tickets are about seven Euro per person.
