Has anyone stayed at Gastehaus Kaltenbach? If so, what did you think of it? Clean? Quiet? Room size? etc. We are planning a trip to Staufen & like the sound of a rural setting but can't find any online reviews. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

No, I was also unable to find any reviews for this hotel. However, it does look very nice, and in general German hotels are clean and comfortable. I love Staufen and I think you have chosen a great place to base yourselves. I can't believe that there would be a noise issue in this setting. Sleepy and rural is what you've got, it also appears to be part of a farm, so unless you can't stand the noise of cockerels at 6am......?

No, I haven't stayed there, but after seeing their website, I would. I agree with Shoni, the Germans have a very high standard of maintenance and cleanliness. I don't think I have ever (over 100 nights) stayed in a room that wasn't spotless.
