St. Remy Hotel/B&B recommendations

Kindly help me with your suggestions where to stay in St. Remy. Heard this is a great base for staying in the Provence area. I appreciate it.

Bonjour Robert!
Late last fall our daughter and I did a self-guided hiking tour through discoverfrance.com. We did not have a car but hiked from village to village (or a pre-arranged taxi took us to the next town if it wasn't feasible). In most places we only stayed one night but all of them were absolutely fantastic! ....In St Rémy we stayed at Le Mas des Carrasins. (masdescarrasins.com)

We stayed at a B&B in St. Remy last year and spent 4 days driving around Provence. The B&B was lovely and was called Mas Bellevue.

This is my favorite place to stay to explore all the area of Provence. I have been there numerous times and can recommend two places I have stayed. Hotel Les Ateliers de l'image... high end beautiful hotel right in town. I stayed there a few times while on a photographers workshop. I typically do not spend this much on a room, so when I came again on my own I found this little place called Hotel Van Gogh... very reasonable, nothing too fancy, and a little walk into town...but it was fine and I would stay at either one again. Just depends on budget. I stayed at another little B&B, but can't remember the name, but the town has many. It is such a beautiful place to call your home while you are in France. We took many early morning walks out to the hospital where Van Gogh was and many late night walks through the town. One of my favorite place to eat is a very laid-back sort of bar called Le Lizard. We had the most wonderful hamburger there (of all things)
Expensive, but big enough to split... and if things haven't changed in the last few years, be sure you check out the bathroom!

An addition... they also have the most wonderful market. I think the days are Wed. and Sat. One has more 'stuff' as well as the food and the other was mostly food. We had a lot of friends there one time and we all wandered the market picking up what looked good and then gathered on some steps and had the most wonderful impromptu picnic! It is such a special place.
