Could anyone recommend a nice but not too pricey hotel in St Remy, please? We will be there at the end of June.Thank so much
We loved the Hotel Sous les Figuiers. Like a B&B. Lovely setting with lots of trees. A block or 2 from town center. Very nice and helpful owners who speak English.
We stayed here for a few days last Sept. http://www.maisondesocres.fr/. It is a few blocks from the centre of St Remy. Lovely modern large room and bath. Off street parking.
Francoise is a lovely hostess, friendly but not intrusive. She speakes English. We found it a little difficult to find as it is in a residential area but Francoise met us on the street and showed us where to go.
We also enjoyed Sous Les Figuires-great location, secure parking, and very charming. The rooms have stone walls, beams, and nice bathrooms. There is a common area with a computer should you need one and it is a very attractive room with huge French doors and a pretty chandelier. Would definitely stay there again. Do not miss market day in St Remy.
I agree with Susan - definitely hit the market! I've bought several items of clothing there that always get compliments. And, of course, all the food goodies are wonderful!
