St Remy

Hello traveling to St Remy end of Sept 2013. Any recommendations for accommodations for a couple. We like apartment/house stays. Have had good luck with airbnb and vrbo, any others? Thank you
Stephanie

Was in St. Remy in May and stayed as Residence Les Sources and highly recommend it. They have 8 or 9 single story "flats" surrounding a lovely greenbelt with a Petanque court and a lovely swimming pool. There is a supermarche within walking distance for the basics and of course the wonderful provencal markets!
The units are clean and well equipped - ours was one bedroom with a small sitting area, kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave sink and coffee maker and a comfortable bedroom and nice sized (and VERY clean) bathroom!

Hello Stephanie I was searching the TH for places to stay in Provence and saw your posting from earlier this year. I am taking my wife and her 89 year old mother to Normandy and Provence the last two weeks of September and wanted to ask if you had found places to stay in the area of St. Remy or Avignon. I Googled Gites and Chambre d'hotes in the vicinity of Avignon and St Remy was mentioned as a nice place to stay. We plan to be in Provence for six nights and I thought having a home base that is centrally located will be easier on her mother than moving around every few days. She is in excellent health, but packing and unpacking a lot can ruin a trip. I would appreciate knowing how your trip planning has gone and any suggestions you may have for a place to stay, and anything else you'd care to share. We will arrive by train on 9/20 or 21 and head back to Paris to fly home on 9/27. We will have a car. Thank you. Jim

We also stayed in Les Source and loved it. Stayed for a week. Nice and central for all our day trips. It really felt like home for all 3 adults.

We stayed at mas des carrasins last spring and loved it - as well as st remy and surrounding area. IMO st remy is a great choice for Provence base. Be sure to hit the markets!!
