We will have 3 days in Provence & 3 in the Riviera. A friend told me a "must see" if St. Paul de Vence. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has been there if it is worth the trip.

I'm a little surprised that in reply to this query or to the one about Vence no one has mentioned Fondation Maeght. It's a center for modern art, with a museum and fabulous outdoor sculpture garden. Many of the greatest names in modern art are represented there. If art interests you, Fondation Maeght is the "must see" in St.Paul de Vence.

I was there in Aug 2007 and enjoyed the chg from the rivera. If you have a car and are seeing all the other villages in the area then it is great and convenient. Don't miss Eze.

I was in St Paul de Vence in May 2005. enjoyed it well enough. quaint town. easy bus ride from Nice.
if given a choice though, i would choose Eze as a day trip instead (previous poster mentioned Eze and I second thta!)
