I am looking at the possibility of travelling to Freilichtbühne Loreley for the Muse Gig and was wondering what would be the best airport to fly into and whether there is transport available to that area from the airport. Also, is there ample accommodation in the surrounding area.
We went to Manchester to see muse last night and they were as incredible as they always are. Eddie

Hahn Airport is where Ryanair flies to, and is the closest airport, but public transport is a bit awkward. Bus to Koblenz, then train to St Goarshausen, shuttle bus up to the festival grounds. There may be some obscure bus connections to St Goar or Boppard. Fly into Frankfurt or Cologne with straightforward train connections to St Goarshausen.

Fly into FRA, Frankfurt Hahn, or CGN (Cologne-Bonn.) Weekends tend to be well booked so plan ahead. Lots of small towns nearby like St. Goar and Boppard with a variety of accommodations: St. Goar rooms Boppard rooms: http://www.boppard.de/index.php?id=5&L=1
