Specific Munich hotel question

We need to stay one night in Munich. Many hotels that have been suggested on here are booked (like Uhland...sniff). Could you recommend specific areas that would be good to stay in with this in mind: 1) we have a car and would need easy parking 2) we need to easily drive it to the airport without getting lost and 3) we'd like to minimize the # of strip/porn places since our kids are with us. Rather than specific hotels, please recommend areas, or areas to avoid. Thank you! Angela
p.s. I have all of my itinerary planned except for this last night....phew, almost done! Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. I thought May would be an easy month to find lodging, but it has NOT been easy!

Here's a place I found that is reasonably priced, is this in a good area? Holiday Inn Munich-South

How about the town of Freising? It's closer to the Munich Airport than Munich is and has plenty of hotels to choose from without the strip/porn places. We stayed there this summer so we could visit the Weihenstephaner Brewery before leaving the next day, but it would work perfectly for your criteria.

Rob how was the brew at the Weihenstephaner Brewery? I wouldn't mind making a stop there while we're in the Munich area in May.

Jerry, it is my travel companion's favorite beer. I thought is was good, and easily ranks up there with the Munich "Big 6", but my favorite, by far, is the Augustiner. The Weihenstephaner Brewery does have a nice restaurant and beer garden and is worth a trip if you are a beer lover. It all made sense for our trip, coming back from Italy, staying close to the airport and getting in one more great beer garden experience!
