I thought it was well worth it when I saw them. There are standing room tickets that are cheaper and you can see just fine.

I guess the is it worth it question is always a bit subjective. We were taken by some friends living in Vienna several years ago to a rehearsal and although enjoyable it was far from the highlight of the trip to Vienna. I think you could stay all morning but we left after about 1.5 hours as it got rather repetitive.
