I flew SPanair from Madrid to Barcelona 3 years ago. The plane actually said SAS on it, and I believe the crew was from SAS as well.

Left late, with no ENglish explanation about what was happening, but it got us there. No beverage service either, just a candy to suck on.

That price does seem awfully high to me tho'.

Sounds way high to me, too. Have you looked at other budget airlines? www.whichbudget.com will give you a list of what budget airlines fly in/to what countries.

Yeah, Spanair is among the worst of the low cost airlines. Personally, I always try to fly with Aireuropa, but have also used Vueling and Clickair without too much hassle. Enjoy the trip.

Spanair isn't a low cost airline. It's a full IATA airline and part of Star Alliance.

I love Spanair. I used to have to fly Madrid to Malaga and for years I flew with Iberia. Bad service and rude check in staff made me turn away from Iberia and try Spanair ( even though I'd never heard of them ). Really good airline, really pleasant staff, on short internal flights within Spain I don't expect a meal but I always got a coffee and a roll for breakfast.

They didn't speak a lot of English on board but the way I looked at it, I was in their country and it was up to me to try and speak a little Spanish.

If I'm ever out that way again you can bet I'll fly with them. They are 100% better than Iberia !

Al - Just about anybody is better than Iberia.
