Does anyone know how Spain is like in June. I know that it is a good time to travel to Spain but any specifics.
I hope it does not get too humid.
I plan to be in Madrid, Sevilla, Granada and Barcelona (1 day trips to Cordoba, Nerja and Arcos).
Thanks.
I love June in Spain, the light is fantastic, the gloaming lasts forever, night air feels good against one's skin. Barcelona is very similar climate-wise to San Francisco, so you won't notice much of a difference there. Madrid and Seville will be warmer (depending on the year, that might mean highs in the high 80's or in the low 100's) Compare the mountainous parts of Granada to Colorado, and the coastal areas to San Diego. All told, this is a good country to visit in the late Spring/early Summer.
weather.com has average weather by month, input your city and look for the button saying Averages.
Thanks for the tips.
I lived in Madrid in the summer of 2006 in a flat without air conditioning. It was somewhat bearable until July. I am from a warm climate (Texas), so I can tolerate heat more than the average person. The weather is not humid, but it does get very hot by July and August--up to 40 C (100 F).
When you book in Sevilla, you may want to see if you can get air conditioning in your accommodations. Although the hot weather usually doesn't come until July, it could be very warm and VERY humid in Sevilla when you are there. It's very heavy humidity, and can suck the life right out of you.
