We are traveling in June to Barcelona, Madrid, Porto & Lisbon. Any suggestions for sights an 8yr. old may enjoy? Does anyone know if children are allowed at bull fights (he really wants to see one!) and Flamenco shows? Any tips on side trips would be appreciated!

From my experience Spain and Barcelona tend to be very accommodating and relaxed to children. I saw many local kids at a bullfight. Flamenco may not be the most exciting for him (I would have liked it at his age but he may not) but there are other theatric shows for children. The shows will most likely have a language barrier however! If he likes the water then he will love Barcelona!
